We take great care in the selection of suitable accommodation, and can offer a wide choice, including Host Families, residence at our School Guest House, self-catering apartments and hotels of different standards. For those students who would like to live in an international community, talking English with people from different countries, we recommend our School Guest House. For those students who would like to experience life in a Maltese home, we recommend one of our carefully chosen English-speaking Host Families. All accommodation provided is situated a short distance from the school on foot.

The school is also conveniently located a mere 10 minutes away on foot. A family-run establishment, the School Guest House is an ideal option for students in the summer months.  Within its friendly environment students are able to interact and socialize with students of different nationalities during the day as well as during meal times. 

Situated in the tourist resort of Bugibba, our School Guest House offers students affordable and independent accommodation in a lively area just a short distance from the local bars, nightclubs, restaurants, cinema and other tourist amenities. Facilities provided include reception services and a rooftop pool. A continental breakfast is provided in the morning while students on half/full board may select from a wide variety of meals from the à la carte menu.  

Only students over the age of 18 or students accompanied by a parent, teacher or group leader are accepted for School Guest House accommodation. 

HOST FAMILY ACCOMMODATION

A warm welcome, caring environment and immersion into the English language are just a few things that Host Family accommodation offers. The ideal choice for young English students, Host Family accommodation gives students the opportunity to experience our lifestyle at first-hand and get an insight into our culture and traditions. Our caring Host Families provide our young students with the additional security of a home atmosphere and the chance to share their new experiences with students from a different linguistic and cultural background.

Over the last 17 years, Alpha School of English has provided quality accommodation for thousands of foreign students including school children, university students and professionals wishing to experience the Maltese way of life at an affordable price. Our Host Families are warm, welcoming, open-minded people who take both pride and pleasure in sharing their knowledge of the English language as well as our history and culture. Indeed, many of our Host Families have established long-term friendships with our students which continue after our students have returned home. Most of our Host Families are located in the St Paul’s Bay area for easy access to our language school, local attractions and the sandy beaches in the vicinity. Throughout the year our Accommodation Department works closely with our Host Families and regularly updates our Host Family Register. We do our best to match students with suitable families according to individual preferences, and we can also provide digital photos of all Host Family homes. Our Accommodation Officer regularly visits and inspects all Host Families.
