Ronan Keating Concert

One of the biggest music phenomena to hit the music scene this past decade, Keating is being brought to Malta by NnG Promotions for a concert at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali that is set to thrill thousands of Maltese fans.
Ever since selling in excess of half a million copies with his first single, Keating has gone on to record a number of ballads and love anthems including Life Is A Rollercoaster, When You Say Nothing At All, Once Upon A Lifetime, If Tomorrow Never Comes and others.
His latest album, Songs For My Mother, is already a massive hit with fans and was recorded together with a band and a live orchestra in memory of the singer’s late mother.
To date Keating has released five solo albums, three of which went straight to number one. He is also listed in the Guinness Book Of Records for being the only artist ever to have 30 consecutive top 10 singles in the UK chart, having beaten the likes of Elvis. He sold in excess of 22 million albums across the world.
Pope Benedict XVI Visit to Malta

Pope Benedict XVI will be visiting Malta on April 17 and 18 to mark the anniversary of St Paul's shipwreck in Malta 1,950 years ago.
The Pontiff will arrive in Malta the day after his 83rd birthday and will leave the day before the fifth anniversary of his election to the Catholic Church's highest office.
The Pope will arrive in Malta in the afternoon of April 17. Soon after his arrival, he will meet the local authorities, followed by a visit to St Paul's Grotto in Rabat.
The Pope is expected to stay at the Apostolic Nunciature in Rabat, which is the official embassy of the Vatican's representative in Malta.
Prodigy in Malta

British dance super group The Prodigy will be playing live in Malta on April 30.
The band are expected to arrive in Malta after playing a series of concerts in Italy and Sicily on their 'Invaders Must Die' tour. Details about the event are expected to be released in the coming days.
Set up in 1990, The Prodigy's unique sound pioneered the dance genre of the big beat electronic sound, selling more than 17 million albums and forever securing their contribution to the annals of dance music.

The 8th of September is a national holiday for Malta as this date commemorates the end of the 1565 Great Siege, the end of the French occupation in Malta in the year 1800 as well as the end of Italian bombardments in 1943.
Various State ceremonies will be held in the morning and in the afternoon, a traditional rowing boat regatta will be held at the Grand Harbour. During the evening, various towns throughout Malta and Gozo celebrate" 'Our Lady of Victory' which is a traditional feast which was celebrated for the first time in 1565.
