Travel and Spending Money
Malta is a small island and the local buses will take you to almost all places of interest. Bus fares are inexpensive with a trip from St. Paul’s Bay to Valletta costing no more than €0.60. Direct buses to Golden Bay, Cirkewwa, and the St. Julian's area, are plentiful from St. Paul’s Bay and cost no more than €1.20.
Soft drinks such as coke and 0.5 litres of water cost around €0.80. A meal in McDonald’s costs around €4.50 and a sandwich in a local café will cost around €1.40. Based on these prices, the school advises that junior students have €100 pocket money per week of their stay.
" The stay in Malta was very pleasant. I liked the beaches a lot. Valletta is a beautiful city and thank you for teaching me here. "
